Robeta: every motorhome different, one model BOM
Robeta from Slovenj Gradec, with production in Šentjanž pri Dravogradu, builds luxury motorhomes on van chassis to customer specification. Its Ares Family Edition model received the European Innovation Award 2025.
Robeta chose Etrust PIS for our expertise in production release and BOMs. When customers choose options, every vehicle is different, so release has to assemble the right work orders for each department from a single model BOM by itself. Invoices stay in the Odoo ERP, while vehicle production runs in Etrust PIS.

What custom motorhome production has to master
- Every customer chooses their own options, so two vehicles of the same model are rarely identical.
- A BOM for every combination of options would mean hundreds of BOMs to maintain.
- The vehicle goes through several departments, from cutting and joinery to upholstery, electrics and assembly.
- The assembly plan must not shift every day, and material has to be ordered on time.
- Quality inspection and the serial number must follow every vehicle.

- Options on the order, one model BOM
The options the customer chooses are entered on the order, and release takes only the right lines from a single model BOM. There is no need to maintain a BOM for every combination.
- Release by department
The vehicle order creates work orders for all departments: cutting, joinery, upholstery, electrics, assembly, finishing and final inspection.
- Order schedule with date-based priorities
Orders are sorted into priorities by days and months and locked, so the assembly plan does not shift.
- Purchasing from requirements
MRP calculates the missing material from orders and BOMs, and purchase orders are created from the requirements.
- MES by department
Workers start and finish operations on control centers (Start & Stop), and time and consumption are captured on the vehicle without paper.
- Inspection at the workstation
Final inspection is performed and recorded at the workstation, as part of the same vehicle work order.
- Vehicle serial number
Every vehicle has a serial number that follows it from order to shipping.
- Pre- and post-calculation
Pre-calculation from the routing shows the own cost of the vehicle with the selected options, and post-calculation from actual times and consumption what the vehicle really cost.
