Series production in numbers: pieces, scrap, downtime and OEE
The same products in recurring batches, from a few dozen to several thousand pieces. Etrust PIS shows every batch in numbers: how many pieces, how much scrap and how long setup took, and with the OEE licence also OEE per machine and shift.
Etrust PIS is software for series production with OEE tracking per machine and shift. Part counts from machines arrive via IoT, downtime and scrap are recorded by category, and setup separately from production.

- Post-calculation
- Invoice
- OEE
Challenges
Challenges you know
- Standard times are on paper, but nobody knows what the machine really produces
- With small batches setup takes almost as long as production, but it is not visible anywhere
- Downtime and scrap reach the office late and without a cause
- Nobody knows how many pieces the tool has already made
- Plan, production and actual execution each live on their own
Solution
How Etrust PIS helps
- Setup separate from production
The setter's start is recorded separately, so you see how long setup takes for each batch; in OEE it counts as downtime, not as lower performance.
- Tools with cavities and a counter
Select the tool when the work order starts; the counter adds up pieces until it is reset, so you know when it is due for service.
- Packed units
Packed units are created from the quantity per package; at stop you distribute the pieces into them and trace them through the operations.
- Scrap by category
At stop you split scrap by category, and material is deducted according to the BOM for the reported quantity.
- OEE per machine and shift
The system calculates availability, performance and quality from standard times, downtime and scrap, for each machine and shift. OEE is licensed per machine.
- Machine part counts via IoT
Machines report good and bad parts through a standard interface, and the system assigns them to the started work order. Data from the machine is set up by the integrator.
- Automatically detected downtime
When no parts arrive from the machine for longer than the standard time allows, the system records downtime, and you select the cause in the control center.
